  • Some cool spots

The heat isn’t letting up, which is fine I guess. This is as close to a vacation I’m going to get, and there are some cool spots in the city as well, suitable for a glass of wine and a good book. I haven’t read in a while, been too busy, but that’ll change today. Now I just have to decide between Richard Kadrey’s The Grand Dark, Benjamin Dreyer’s Dreyer’s English, or ‌Lost Boy by Christina Henry. Decisions, decisions. Maybe I’ll hit the gym first, that’ll clear my head.

    Have a great Sunday, folks.

  • Truly and utterly horrible

It’s a scorcher in Stockholm, putting aluminum foil on the windows to keep the heat at bay. Truly and utterly horrible, but not as bad as yesterday’s train ride. There’s that, at least.

This filled up, which made it even hotter in the carriage

  • Will ask for a refund

I’m on a train heading back to Stockholm, after two wonderful days with Paazu and Malin in her summer home. The lake was cool but not cold, and the weather was manageable despite high temperatures. The train back to Stockholm is nothing of the sorts though, it’s north of 30C in here, with no air condition whatsoever. Will ask for a refund for sure.

  • Frickin’ hot

Hanging out in Malin’s summer home. So grateful that I’m not in Stockholm right now, because it’s frickin’ hot today.

  • A pretty crummy train

Traveling north, as previously mentioned, by train. I’ve already spent as much time standing still on the tracks, as I’ve been moving forward. The trains in Sweden is a travesty sometimes. Luckily I’m in no rush, but I can think of more fun things to do than sit around waiting in a pretty crummy train. And the bloke on the other side of the aisle is snoring pretty loudly. Yeah…

  • Getting things ready

Today is all about getting things ready for the rest of the week. I’m heading north to hang out with Malin and Paazu tomorrow, and the idea is to not work a ton. Obviously that meant that yesterday was laundry day, and today is work work work. As it should be.

    Yesterday’s done with everything treat

  • Shitty dance music

It’s always felt a bit weird to hit the gym in the summer. You get your exercise doing sports outdoors, not strapped into machines, on treadmills, or lifting weights to shitty dance music in a sweat-drenched building. And yet, that’s what I’ve been doing the past few days, and it feels great. Granted, being in a city, and not being particularly fond of running as a form of exercise, my options are limited. So go work out, in whatever way you feel appropriate.

  • A good night’s sleep

A good night’s sleep does wonders. I even got some things done this morning, before coffee. Yes, that’s utter madness, I know, but I am like that sometimes. There was a time when I suffered headaches until I had two cups of coffee in the morning, something that surely can’t be good for you. No more, although I still enjoy coffee every morning.

  • Toodles

I’m sorely behind on sleep, and the battery’s running low. These are busy days, good days, but busy. Managed to sort some things out today at least, however mundane they may have been, and hid from the scorching sun in what felt like a box. Then that got hot too. A proper drink feels like the way to wrap things up, so I’ll enjoy that, and let you be on your merry way. Toodles, as Salomé said to me once, which means it is now her catchphrase. You’re welcome.

  • An admin day

It’s been an admin day. I wish I could trust one of those book-keeping services, because I utterly loathe that crap, but I also want to know what’s going on. So here we are, a Friday that feels wasted, but probably wasn’t.

  • Nothing to see here

Working from home today, trying to check off some things that I’ve been neglecting, and treat my stiff neck. I really should get a better pillow… Anyway, that’s about as exciting it gets today, so move along, nothing to see here just yet. Have a great day!

  • Prepping for launch

Prepping for launches, even if it’s just a pre-order or Kickstarter campaign, is hard work. I’m not even particularly involved in this one, just getting ready to promote it. Yes, it’s a Conan thing, and yes, you should keep your eyes open if you’re into that sort of thing.

  • Divide & Conquer is 1 year old today

We got an early start to the work week here at Divide & Conquer. There’s always someone working over the summer, but this week has us all in the studio, so we’re making the most of it.

Also, Divide & Conquer is officially 1 year old today! There will be bubbly stuff this afternoon.

  • Lack of foresight

Going through my things is just as agonizing as you would imagine, but it does come with its perks. I’ve sent three bags of clothes to goodwill, cleaned out my bookcase, and decided what to do with some gadgets. The problem is when you get to the small stuff, the clutter in the drawers. On the one hand, if I didn’t remember a thing existed, why keep it? But on the other, hey, I got it for a reason in the first place. The does this make me happy? method doesn’t apply to everything, because if I’ll need an item in the future, it sure won’t make me happy having to buy it again just because I trashed it due to lack of foresight.

  • Organizing things

Organizing things today. My wardrobe has shrunk by 40%. I had a lot of clothes that I wasn’t using, that goes to goodwill now. Still have way too many items in there, but I’m bored with that now, so I’m moving on to the next thing. Baby steps.

Saw the Power of Grayskull documentary on Netflix, about He-Man and the Masters of the Universe. I grew up with those toys, comics, and the cartoon of course. It was interesting.

    New sticker!
