  • Big decisions has been made

Big decisions has been made, which is the only thing I’ll say about it right now. Now I just have to turn my focus from them, to the deadline in hand. It’ll be a long day, I think.

Oh, and Conan Chop Chop is a thing I’m looking forward to.

  • My phone likes to remind me

Today’s a busy day, as my phone likes to remind me. Some of those todos will have to wait, because I have an extensive report to finish for a client, and a fun scoop for Conan.com to prepare. Wish me luck.

  • I’d rather be cold than warm

I was going to write “finally a cool day”, but then it hit me that it’s still somewhat early, and the treacherous sun might dial it up again. As you might’ve figured out by now, I’m not a big fan of heat. If I have to choose, I’d rather be cold than warm.

I don’t have any particular plans today, just going to try and take it easy, get some writing done, and be energized for Monday instead. Maybe you should too? Best of luck then, I’m sure we’ll both need it…

  • Almost acceptable

It’s another hot day in Stockholm, but despite this it’s almost acceptable in my apartment, thanks to the slight breeze outside. I’ve been working with small stuff all day, but my todo list is a bit overwhelming still. My productivity really drops when the temperature rises, so yesterday wasn’t particularly beneficial. I’ve got my fingers crossed for some rain, but even though my favorite weather bot is showing raindrops, I doubt it’ll come to pass. And I guess weekenders love this heat, so I’ll allow it, but just this once, you hear?

  • No cuddles

The apartment was turning into a sauna due to not being able to open the windows because of the cats, so they’ve gone home again. On the one hand, it’s nice to get some sleep without being interrupted for cuddles every other hour, but on the other, no cuddles…

It’s hot again today, I’m staying hydrated with water and Huel. At least for now, there might be beers on the horizon, we’ll see.

  • Wear sunscreen

It’s the National Day of Sweden, happy birthday to my homeland. You’ve been in better shape, but on the other hand, it could be a lot worse too. It’s a scorcher of a day, so wear sunscreen, fellow Swedes out celebrating.

Saw the fifth and final episode of critically acclaimed HBO miniseries Chernobyl at the former nuclear reactor at KTH last night. That was an experience, thanks Helena.

  • Squeeze days

Tomorrow’s the National Day of Sweden, which is a day off for most people. Spring is littered with these days, with every other workweek split in two, squeeze days galore. While it’s annoying if you actually want to get some work done, and get the answers you need from clients, it’s also something of a blessing when you’re trying to catch up. So that’s what I’m looking forward to doing tomorrow.

  • Cuteness overload

Another busy day today. This week’s shaping up to be a fast-paced one. I did take the time to meet up with Malin and Paazu, and the two shibas – Chihiro and Nagini – she’s babysitting. Yes, that was something of a cuteness overload.

  • Work evening

I managed to get a lot of things done yesterday, which was nice because today’s work will be done this evening. Got some Conan.com stuff to sort out, including newsletter planning, and a ton of other things I’ve pushed until after said site finally launched. I cracked a story yesterday too, so I’m looking forward to wrap that one up and send to my editor.

Enjoy your Monday. Mine is spent taking it easy this morning, before getting to work proper.

  • Am I enjoying this?

A new month means admin work, which is what I’m doing today. Not exactly what I had in mind, but that’s what happened. It’s pretty nice to be all alone in the studio, listening to Rolling Stones, and sometimes gazing longingly out the window at all the people enjoying the Sunday sunshine. Wait, am I enjoying this or not? I’m confused.

  • Cat sitting

I feel bad for Ladytron, the sound on last night’s concert was horrible. As in, we left early, it was that bad. They’re closing that particular venue, and it might be just as well, because the space sure didn’t help. A shame. At least the band looked cool.

Cat sitting, so at least I have company while catching up on lost working hours.

  • Ladytron

Wrapping this week with an utterly horrible night’s sleep, or rather lack thereof, and a Ladytron concert with Helena. I’m going to try and recharge this weekend, it’s been a bit much recently.

  • We launched Conan.com

We launched Conan.com yesterday. Yes, that is the official website for Conan the frickin’ Barbarian, and everything else Robert E. Howard. I’m very happy about this. The Conan brand is owned by Cabinet Entertainment, who also got a website from us a while back. There’s more – so much more! – in store for these things, I can’t wait to tell you.

But yeah, for an old fantasy nerd like yours truly, who grew up with the Conan stories and the Marvel comics, this is huge. And yet, just the tip of the iceberg, as they say. Sign up for the newsletter on Conan.com, there are plenty of treats coming soon, but I’m extra psyched about a certain one…

  • I’ll tweet the link

Today is launch day for a project we’ve been working with for quite some time. It’s the first step of many, with lots of plans. I’ll tweet the link when it’s live.

  • Very much like Monday

I’m not going to lie, three hours of sleep is pushing it. I knew this would happen, because I slept a full eleven hours the day before, and thus I wasn’t tired last night. Had beers with the always pleasant Matt Forbeck, and then the night escalated, as it sometimes does. In the end I was hanging out at one of my favorite bars, Ambar, enjoying funky wine, sparkling sake, and Swedish whisky, as well as interesting conversation with the owner. All in all, a nice evening, that I can sort of feel this morning. A quick nap might not be such a bad idea…

Oh, and I had to walk to my morning meeting, after giving up on the traffic jam (due to an accident). That’s a pretty good way to wake up, I guess, but it felt very much like Monday at the time.

I had these, as well as Timmer (not pictured)
