  • Warren Ellis takes five minutes every day

    Warren Ellis:

I take five minutes every day just for me, to look around and see where I am and be there. Thirty-five minutes a week. Over twenty years, that’s something over six hundred hours I’ve taken just for myself.

  • What are you doing about it?

Back at work yet? Have you had a nice summer vacation? Maybe your company has kickoffs or you go off at some conference or other, visit a retreat to regain focus if you’re at boss level. Or whatever, the point is that work is the primary focus again. For you, and for everyone else, not counting the unemployed of course, although they’re probably pretty work-focused too.

It is time to be productive, to re-enter the factory, to grind. Mouths to feed, bills to pay, bad habits to maintain, am I right?

But while you’re getting back to full throttle work mode, take a moment to contemplate what you’re doing. Is it what you want, are you happy doing what you do, and are you enjoying yourself?

If not, what are you doing about it?

Worth a thought, and now is as good as ever.
