The weather is glum and gray in Stockholm. It’s fitting, because I’m tired from drinking wine, and a very hectic week up until now. Today’s mostly admin, catching up with things that’ve been pushed aside while we’ve rushed towards launches and project starts. It’s nice, cleaning up the lists, that sort of thing.

New tools
I went from “I’m not picking anything Apple-y up” this year, to getting both the iPhone XS Max, and now the new iPad Pro. I went with the 11” model, with the Smart Keyboard and Pencil, and a bunch of USB-C adapters that have yet to arrive. Pricy, but the iPad Pro is my preferred, if not always primary, device, so I’m justifying it like that. It’s okay, it really is.

Moving is hard work
Moving is hard work. Not that I’m actually doing any of the physical stuff at the moment, it’s just the logistics thus far. But I’m getting there!
Spelbloggen, my Swedish games blog, is back! I hope the domain is working properly now, something funky went on with the DNS propagation.
Right. I guess I should try and squeeze in some work today, too.

Busy week, and some sheep-skin
I’ve got a really busy week ahead of me, with at least one launch with Divide & Conquer, and the relaunch of Spelbloggen, so this will be brief. So brief, in fact, that I’ll just post a photo of Paazu chilling on his adopted sheep-skin in the studio. It’s his favorite place in here, I’m not sure if Helena – who unwittingly brought it here – will ever see it again…

90% revising, 10% Spelbloggen
I managed about 10% of my planned revising yesterday, so I think you can guess what I’m doing today. Well that, and putting the final touches to a long-awaited relaunch of the Swedish games blog Spelbloggen. Fancy that.

MobNov and cleaning
I’ve enjoyed a lazy morning today, focusing on rest and just not doing anything fast. This afternoon is a mix of editing then MobNov story, and cleaning the apartment a bit. It’s long overdue, well – they both are!

Ending a long week with music videos
It’s been a long week. We’re wrapping it up with music videos in the studio, projecting on the wall, and enjoying ourselves. There might be drinks, a lot of 80s and 90s music, and laughter.
My weekend will be all about editing, more on that later, and rest. I sorely need the latter. Enjoy your Friday. I know I will.

Timelapse time
I’m out and about doing timelapse video and shooting some additional photos for a client today. Some of the work we do involving photography is done on site, while some are shot in our studio. I’m shooting timelapse with a GoPro Hero 6 Black attached to a Gorillapod, which is very versatile setup, I think.

Zombie children
Met some zombie children while walking Paazu here in Stockholm. This Halloween thing might be fun, but it wasn’t always like this. Commercial holidays aren’t my thing, but then again I’m not big on hyped things at all.
Except new iPad Pros. Apparently I like those, because I ordered the new 11″ iPad Pro with the necessary extras. Oops.

Aching body and money will (probably) be spent
My body aches today. It’s been a bit much, including exposure to people at airports, never a good thing. I’ve learned to listen to my body over the years, it knows when I’m overdoing things. I think it’ll pass, though.
Looking forward to the Apple event this afternoon. New iPad models, possibly a new Mac mini, all that sounds interesting. I’m still the most productive on my iPad Pro, so I might (i.e. will) update, assuming they release a model in the right size.

Revisiting the iPhone novel
Flying back to Stockholm with some sort of plan regarding the house. Found a lot of fun things there, including no less than eleven keyboards that I’m not using. Some might call that a light addiction, and they’d be right. Managed to shake that monkey, luckily.
I had reasons to revisit an old story last night. Regular readers might remember the iPhone novel project. Well, it’s that one, a science-fiction novella. We’ll see how it goes with it, but it does tie in well with a serial novel project that’s been waiting for the right slot at my publisher for a while. Not that they’re connected or anything, just same space, so to speak.

I truly hate moving
I wish the packing up was moving ahead a little faster. I truly hate moving, it’s horrible in every single way. Trying my best to stay positive, but it’s a struggle. I wish I could just pay someone to do this for me, but that’s out of my budget at the moment. Just got to get through the day, I guess. At least there’ll be pizza and wine at the end, there’s always that.
Have a wonderful Sunday, and remember to set back the few dumb clocks you might have (i.e. microwave and car), if you live in EU land.

Packing things
I’m in the house packing things. It’s a lot, albeit not so much stuff that I intend to keep, but plenty to pack, if you know what I mean. Being away from all of your things is a good way to figure out what you really need. I did find some stuff I’d forgotten about, that I still want, which is great. Also, I might have a notebook or two…

Flying south to pack up the house
Flying south today, to take care of the house. Sold it, remember? It’s a trip I’ve done plenty of times during the latter half of last year. I’d be nostalgic if it wasn’t for the fact that I’m not looking forward to packing everything up. Moving sucks, and packing up a home is horrible. At least I’ll get to play some vinyls while I’m doing it. I hope your weekend plans are more party flavored.

Celebrations were had
We got the go-ahead from a new client yesterday, one of those you really want. Celebrations were in order, and had, at the local wine bar. It’s important to celebrate the wins you have in your everyday life.
