Went to my first political lecture, rally, meetup, or whatever you want to call it, yesterday. I’ll confess that I was there to support friends, although it was an interesting lecture for sure. The Swedish election is this Sunday, and it’s all about keeping fascism at bay. Hopefully people will vote with their hearts, not out of fear for the unknown.

Paazu in the studio
Exhausted. This week is just as packed as expected. It’s nice to have Paazu visiting. He likes to hang out in the studio, representing Bark Bar obviously. I bet it’ll be empty in both the studio and the apartment when he leaves tomorrow. Luckily he’ll be back in Stockholm again in October, so that’s good.

Can’t complain
Almost all my waking hours are devoted to Divide & Conquer at the moment. It’s great fun, with such a great team. As usual when I’m swamped with work, I get ideas. And I feel like writing again. Also, sold a pretty big photography gig, so I guess I’m doing that professionally again.
So yeah, full speed ahead. Can’t complain!

Paazu in the house
This fellow is in my apartment (and currently in the Divide & Conquer studio) for the first time. Expect plenty of photos of Paazu, both on my Instagram and on the Divide & Conquer one. Yeah, that’s a shameless plug if I ever did one.

Good morning, Monday
Good morning from my bed, 30 minutes before the alarm is set to go off. Another kind of alarm did, that of a client finding a bug on launch day. It was a stupid thing, not our fault (we’re helping out with an old site while building the new one), but still something that needed prompt attention. All fixed now, but I can’t shake the feeling that this is prophetic regarding the coming week. It looks to be an intense one. There’s not an evening without something planned, and add meetings and everyday work, well, yeah. Intense.
I guess I should get dressed then, since not wearing clothes is generally frowned upon in work situations. A bit small minded if you ask me, but whatever.

Waiting for Autumn
Autumn is rolling in, or that’s what I’m waiting for at least. Today was sunny and hot, albeit not close to the heatwave levels we’ve had, and complained about. Still, I’ve been looking forward to some sort of chill, to dark nights, and a sun that’s somewhat more shy.
I like the months leading up to winter, they’re pretty months. The trees dress up in their best colors, and so do the city dwellers. I especially enjoy the weeks you get just before it gets too cold to sit outside, enjoying a drink and a smoke. Bring it on.

Annoying weather
Annoying weather ruined today’s micro photoshoot, but luckily a shitty theme builder that a client’s old site is using claimed my morning. I’m glad I’m rested, at the very least, because otherwise I might’ve lost it. What a piece of shit. Lack of food surely doesn’t help either. Oh well.
I’m looking forward to the weekend, completely devoid of plans. I think I need that after the last couple of weeks.

Ramblings concerning photography
I’ve been taking a lot of photos the past couple of months. A nice camera does that, although I can’t applaud the quality you can get out of an iPhone X enough. That old saying that the camera you’ve got with you is the best one is true, which is why I bought a small mirrorless thing that can go in my bag. Expect more words on that in a proper piece in the future.
Anyway, lots of snapped photos, and no time to sort nor edit properly, except the ones I know I need right away. Most of those are either client work (yeah, I’m shooting for monies again), or photos for the upcoming Divide & Conquer website. I haven’t had time to go exploring the city, looking for nice shots, which I know people enjoy. That’s not how I shoot, I can’t look for something to take a photo of, but I’ll know what it is when I see it. Something like that.
Oh, and I hate Lightroom CC with all my heart. That is all.

Ridiculously tired
I’m ridiculously tired. The days are barreling on, with so much to do. It’s fun, but taxing. I can’t believe it’s just Wednesday – or maybe that it’s Wednesday already – my body can barely tell. One of the reasons for this is the past two weekends, and the work with the house that’ll be listed for sale in a few days. There hasn’t been much rest, and everyone needs to rest. Being tired fucks with my mind. But hey, I’m having fun, so I can’t nor won’t complain.
Sleep an extra hour for me, if you can. Thank you!

Annoying colleagues
The Divide & Conquer studio has photography fever at the moment, with both me and Anders annoying our colleagues with cameras and lenses. It’s all in good fun, and it makes me want to figure out a way to display photos on my site. Some end up on my Instagram (yes, still locked, but just apply to prove that you’re not a bot and you’re golden), but most just sit in my Lightroom library. How I loathe Lightroom CC by the way, that’s really not a good piece of software. I’ll have to find something better, tweet me your suggestions, if you have any.

Zero percent rest
Early start to the week, with a weekend consisting of exactly zero percent rest. I’m going to feel that in a day or two, or perhaps this afternoon since I didn’t get much sleep last night. The train for Stockholm is already delayed, and I hate saying goodbye to Paazu. He knows when I’m leaving, it’s heart-breaking to see.
Weeks can start better than this, but I’m not complaining, not really. There are a lot of good things coming up, which is a much better use of my energy. It’s way too easy to get caught up focusing on the negative stuff. Take that nugget of wisdom and stuff it into your grumpy Monday mood, okay? And have a good one. Here we go.

Driving day, again
I’m spending my day in the car, driving from the house down south, to the summer home up north. And after that, a brief rest before I take the train back down to Stockholm tomorrow morning. No rest for the wicked, as they say.

Preparing the house
Today is all about preparing the house for sale. It’s not exactly my favorite thing in the world to do, a bit sad actually, but it’ll be good when this is all over and done. I think I managed to secure a better contract for my apartment in Stockholm too, so that’s good, otherwise I’d be homeless in October. That’d be an adventure, I guess, but I’d rather not…
Yes, I’m procrastinating right now. Better get back to it, by mowing the lawn before the next sudden skyfall, perhaps. Enjoy your weekend, preferably by having an extra drink for me since I’m driving all day tomorrow and can’t properly celebrate, well, anything.

Flying south again
Flying down to the south again, to the house. It’s time for the final preparations for the sale, starting with the realtor’s photo shoot early next week, and then showing and so forth. Not looking forward to the coming days, there’s a lot to do, including driving all the way back through the country. I get tired just thinking about it.
Have a great Friday, and raise a glass for me if you will.

Concrete and sand
Every now and then you get to see some cool big industry stuff, despite being in a very digital niche. Like how concrete and rocks become sand, for example. Very cool.
