Too bad February has twenty-nine days this year
There’s no beating around the bush (or whatever), it’s been a rough week. Rough couple of weeks, to be honest, but also an entirely expected scenario. Granted, neither plague nor flu – even though my body has made relatively short of both – was on the books, so Swamped Month Number One got progressively worse. I’ll be glad it’s over, too bad February has twenty-nine days this year. Oh well.
Weekend, I salute you. And I’ll do my best to rest and catch up, without one ruining the other. That’s a paradox, but I’ll take it. What choice is there?

Picked up some fun gear for a project today, with more to come tomorrow. I’ll get back to you on that one, for now, here’s a quick shot of two glorious semlor.

24 truly horrible hours
The winter flu is really bad this year. I’ve been mostly okay, which is more than you can say about people around me. In the end it got to me too, with 24 truly horrible hours, and then the tiredness that follows. It’ll be another day or two before I’m back to my old self, so I’ll continue taking it easy until then. Well, except trying to catch up on all the work I’ve missed…

A wee bit longer than planned
Visited a lab where they make sustainable plastics and investigate such things. It’s run by a former pop star, of you’d believe it – nice guy.
Also wrapped my Surface freelance piece. I’m having a drink to celebrate that one, it took a wee bit longer than planned, but there you go.

Crazy busy week
Sorry for the radio silence. It’s a crazy busy week here, a mix of deliveries to clients and freelance deadlines. I’m checking todos, but new ones keep popping up. In other words, all is as it always is.
The new site is around the corner. I won’t change it (yes, I did redo the whole damn thing) again, this’ll stand. I think…

A nice way to start the weekend
My inbox is empty. That was always the case before, but I’ve slacked the past couple of months. It’s a temporary state, and not necessarily important nor a reason to feel good about oneself, but still.
Now to check off the last couple of todos before it’s pizza time.

A day not fully booked with a million things
We had plans today, but they changed. I find myself in the somewhat surprising situation of a day not fully booked with a million things. I’m going to drink coffee and think on that, before committing to anything.

Some buildings are just cool
Some buildings are just cool. Like this one, Kungliga Musikhögskolan in Stockholm, where we met a client today.

February experiment
I’m conducting an experiment this February. My iPad Pro sits this month out (well, mostly) in favor of that Surface Pro 7 I mentioned previously. It’s for a freelance piece, but I figured I might as well turn it into something of a challenge. It’s important to question your choices, including the gadget once. So that’s what I’m doing. I’ll write more about it later this week.

Two hour walk in the park
This has been a sleepy weekend. Did manage to enjoy the sun with a two hour walk in the park with these two.

Posted from my Surface Pro 7
I know, it’s weird, but I’m actually typing this from a Surface Pro 7. It’s a review unit, or rather, a borrowed unit for an upcoming piece. I’ve been looking forward to give the Surface another go for some time, and this last batch is promising. More on this later, for now, just know that I’m doing the most important thing there is when getting your hands on a new Windows machine: Downloading the Mass Effect trilogy.

A grand lifestyle
The calendar is packed, much like this month, but at least the cotton that’s been invading my head the past few days is all but gone. It’s good to be able to think again. Now I just need a couple of nights of proper sleep, and all will be dandy, until the next plague hits.
I also need to go grocery shopping. It’s a grand lifestyle, isn’t it?

It might be the plague
So it might be the plague…
Just kidding. It’s not so bad just yet, but I’m staying home, doing some light work because that’s all my fuzzy brain can handle right now. Reading up on things, discussing concepts – for some reason that’s easier than wrapping up the projects I have on my plate this week. It’s like being a bit feverish makes it easier to think creatively, but anything other than that, anything too precise, becomes hard.
I really want to launch my new site now.

Drown it in bourbon
My throat is sore, I’ve got a heavy head, and I might be a bit warmer than usual (which says a lot). It might be the plague, so I intend to drown it in bourbon tonight. That usually works.
