I already own a previous edition, should I buy this one too?
Absolutely, and I actually really mean that. A lot of things have happened since the second and first edition of this book, and some old solutions have become obsolete. The new book also abides to the PHP code standards that WordPress have moved towards, which is important obviously.

I’m thinking of starting a blog with WordPress, will this book help me?
This book is aimed at developers and designers. It doesn’t tell you how to create posts or work with widgets. There are other books and tutorials for that.

I’m a developer, what do I need to know to use your book?
HTML, CSS, and basic knowledge of PHP is needed. If you know a thing or two about MySQL, that might help. Finally, you should take WordPress for a spin as a user before diving into this book.

This sounds awesome, but I already own a previous edition. Why won’t you just update it?
Would that I could, but there’s a lot of work in writing a new book and I do need to get paid. Also, my publisher would never allow it. Who knows what the future will hold though?
