  • It’s Friday the 13th

It’s Friday the 13th, and I’m not superstitious at all, but I still think its a fun combination of day and number. I believe it occurs more often than you’d think though, three times a year or something like that. It’s something I’m sure you could verify by searching the interwebs, but I can’t be bothered.

It’s a beautiful day and I might or might not stay in the city. Tons of work to do though, so it’ll be tricky to get out. We’ll see. Enjoy your Friday, and stay clear of lakes and campsites.

  • Squeezing in work on the go

I’ve been on the go for two days now, squeezing in work where and when it’s been possible, but mostly occupied with other things. A lot of people are working from home these days, and I’m glad I don’t have any problems making anywhere and everywhere my office. I do see that this would be an issue for some. My office is very much portable, as setup-crazy people already know.

  • Freedom (hopefully) ensues

Having a car in central Stockholm is stupid in almost every conceivable way. Parking is horrible and there’s enough traffic here as it is. However, owning a car for leaving the city, and having a dedicated parking space, is a different matter. I do that now, again. Freedom (hopefully) ensues.

  • I’m as surprised as you are

The todo list is slowly getting back to something resembling normal. This week is packed, and the next one too, but less so, and that feels promising. I’m wrapping projects, and considering to close other things too, to get more focus. Meanwhile, Divide & Conquer gets more work from unexpected sources, so that plays into all of this as well.

Yeah, not your average Monday journal entry, this. I’m as surprised as you are.

  • Photos not meant for sharing publicly

Yesterday turned into a late one, so today’s been kind of slow. The world doesn’t pause just because I go to bed at three in the morning, so I’m a bit behind on sleep. It was a fun evening though, resulting in a bunch of fun photos that I don’t think is for sharing publicly, and a good time.

Next week is crazy. There might be radio silence, or quite the opposite, we’ll see. For now, I’m turning in early with a book (wrapping up Red Rising, as newsletter subscribers know), and then trying to get a good night’s sleep. See you on the flip-side.

  • Yes, we might start a band

It’s one of those family days today, by which I mean there’s been cleaning, shopping, and chores. We’ve also had some visitors, and I’ve spent some time with my buddy. The photo, however, is from yesterday. Yes, we might start a band.

  • It’s a sunny Friday

It’s a sunny Friday, so I think I’ll cut out early and enjoy a walk with Paazu and Helena before it gets dark again. Work can wait another hour or so.

  • Got this fellow for a few days

I’m about halfway there today, but that’s all I’m going to get. Things piled up, and then stuff happened that you have to deal with. Nothing major, nothing horrible, just a lot. Add packing up an office and you get, well, a long day.

Got this fellow for a few days though, always a treat.

  • Also, here’s a cat

Blasting through another load of todos. It’s that sort of week, as I’m sure you guessed. We did have some fun along the way, and clearing out the basement storage is always … yeah, you know.

    Also, here’s a cat.

My bed. Not your bed. My bed.

  • Socially spent

It’s been another busy day, with video recording and jury work. The former was filled with laughter and sparks of joy, whereas the latter had nothing to do with the law whatsoever. Let me explain: I’m on the jury for Swedish IDG’s 100 best sites of the year, and we had our first proper meeting today. To say I’m socially spent is an understatement.

  • Work at unexpected places

It’s been another day on the go, with meetings and things across town. And yes, that means I had to put in some work at some unexpected places. It’s turning into a series, this…

  • Hello March

Hello March, I hope you’ll be kinder than February.

For those of you who missed being able to scroll through my journal entries, the actual archive (which is the journal link below) now outputs the whole journal entry and not just links to particular dates.

  • Decadent and romantic but it isn’t

It’s February 29th, a day you should be allowed to do whatever you please, thus I’m in an overpriced hotel room drinking wine in bed. It sounds both decadent and romantic but it isn’t really, in fact it’s been a hell of a day, and this is just a getaway and a breather.

This month’s been rough. I’m glad it’s done and dusted in a couple of minutes in my timezone. Tomorrow morning, I’ll have a big breakfast, draw a bath, and check out. Add another 24 hours and the wheel starts to spin again. As it should be. But right now, an oversized hotel bed with starched sheets are calling me.

  • The 20th issue of RE:THORD

It’s been one of those weeks. Well, month really, but you and I both knew that. March will be somewhat less stressful, I hope, although the first two weeks are ridiculously packed. That’s how it goes.

I sent the 20th issue of RE:THORD, my personal newsletter, just now. If you missed out you can subscribe here, and get the latest issue (which obviously is the one published today) sent to you automatically. I think I like the format of the last couple of letters, actually. What do you think? Hit reply and tell me!

  • Something I haven’t done in a long time

Well, that’s something I haven’t done in a long time: Start the day writing a 750+ words blog post. That’s what I did, trying really hard not to mutter over the fact that it’s snowing outside. Horrible, just plain horrible – the snow I mean. Snow goes on alps, where you snowboard, not in a city, and definitely not in Stockholm when I’m here. Someone clearly didn’t get the memo.

I’m writing my monthly (I guess?) personal newsletter today. It’ll go out tomorrow or the day after, so there’s till time to subscribe.
